No. NAS features use your own Synology account. Your NAS permissions determine the devices and content you can access.
Modules adapt to the package capabilities available on DSM 6 and DSM 7. Files require File Station; photos use Synology Photos on DSM 7 or Moments on DSM 6; music uses Audio Station; download tasks use Download Station. Details depend on the app platform, NAS model, package versions and permissions.
Check in DSM that QuickConnect is enabled, the ID is correct and the NAS has internet access. Confirm account permissions. Try a direct NAS address on the same local network to narrow down the issue. Remote access depends on your network, firewall and Synology’s connection services.
Confirm the address and certificate fingerprint with your NAS administrator before accepting trust in the app. Investigate unexpected certificate changes before proceeding.
SynoArk is for mobile access and everyday management. Some settings, permissions and server administration still require DSM or the relevant service’s web interface.
